Expecting again...

So, we are expecting our third and final child in mid-July. Went to have my ultrasound on this past Monday. The girls were of course very vocal with their opinions of the result. Another girl!!! I, for one, am completely excited.

Sydnee was counting the amount of females in the house now..."Mommy, there are 5 girls in the house and then daddy is the only boy." I replied "Actually counting Haylee and Purrsnickety there are 7 girls." Sydnee turns and says, "Since I can't have a brother...can we get some chihuahua's in this house and make sure they are boys?"

Abigail does not do so well with her "S" sounds...so she has always called Sydnee, Nee or NeeNee since she could say anything. So, we were sitting in the truck waiting for Sydnee's bus to come so it was a prefect opportunity to try to teach Abby the baby's name...Sophia. Well, I opted to teach her Sophie at first. Needless to say...Abigail is apparently content with having two sisters...NeeNee and PeePee. =)

I asked Sydnee to watch Rudolph with me when it aired on television the other night...she says to me, "mom, why would I watch it on tv? i have the dvd in my room without commercials." Yea, she's five.

Pumpkins and Potatoes

Been quite awhile yet again...and there are so many quotes and musings that fail to come to mind due to the length of time since my last post. But I will give it a shot. Abigail makes more progress each day...so soon I will be adding her little gems of speech to this blog as well...which could not come soon enough for me! I am so tired of the grunts and incoherant babbling that she does rather than speak.

I was preparing to go to Angie's house to help her out by painting her toenails before she was due to have her 2nd gorgeous little guy, so I was saying goodnight to the girls. Sydnee looked at me and said..."I'm really excited that Aunt GiGi is going to have another baby, but you should tell her she should be less worried about her toes and more worried about the baby"

Upon opening her birthday gift...Sydnee referred to her new outfiit as "awesome sauce with whipped cream"

After trying Pumpkin Cheesecake..."I would marry this dessert...and no matter how full I was, I would have room for it everyday"

I tricked her into trying a sample of Baked Potato Salad at the grocery store over the weekend, to which she replied..."Wow, that is really good...but I don't like the potato part"

Well folks, that is all that comes to mind at the moment!

Waiting in the lobby at school this morning...

one of Sydnee's classmates was misbehaving...so his dad was disciplining him...and Sydnee OF COURSE had to chime in by telling the child..."Yea, why don't you plug your brain in or something." The dad laughed and said "He does need to charge his brain!" So, it was not as embarassing as I thought it would be. =)

Sydnee doesn't just sass her mama...

The other day...Angie walked into her room and told her and Kam that if they didn't clean up after themselves she would dole out the whippins...lol...and Sydnee said(loudly)"I know how to control this house!"

playing catch up...

So...new to this blogging thing...figured this would be easier for me to write down the gems that fly from my daughters mouth...so here are a few from the past month or so from Sydnee:

"I wish I had a clean brain. I wish I could pull my dirty brain out of one ear and put a clean one in the other ear...and then I wouldn't say things like that" - after referring to someone's lack of hair as "boy mommy, they sure did get a bad haircut"

"You're the boss of daddy and I'm the boss of Abigail" to which I replied "No, I am the boss of Abigail too" she said "Who's the boss of you mommy?" my response..."God"

"I wish Aunt Lee could pick us up in her airplane and take us to Heaven to see Big Papaw, and then maybe he could come back down with us" - she is convinced that Aunt Lee owns the plane she takes to come back up and visit from Florida

"The Beatles are the best band ever Mommy, but I don't like their pinchers"

"I'm the bravest kid there ever was, but not when I'm scared" - makes sense
